Back in the 70's & 80's Asbury Park was hallmark for NJ shore
travelers including Bruce Springsteen. However, today they are in

Avalon beaches were voted by The Washingtonian the safest for swimming
out of 30 beaches visited! The magazine called it "the best
beach in New Jersey", with its gentle surf, natural dunes,
a wide beach, and good life guards. It even has a small and well
maintained boardwalk. Handicap Accessible - Beach chairs specifically
designed for the handicapped are available by reservation. Beach
Tags are available and can be purchased in the booth outside of
Community Hall Friday - Sunday (call 609-967-3066), or at the beach

Avon
"by the Sea"

Avon is surrounded by three different bodies of water. To the north
is Sylvan Lake, Shark River inlet to the South and the Atlantic
Ocean to the East. Clean, white sandy beaches are a great place
to relax, swim and bask in the summer sun. The boardwalk, with Victorian
lamps, benches and pavilions, is a wonderful place to stroll and
unwind. Fishing, boating and scuba diving are year 'round activities

Bay

Atlantic Ocean is at their front door to the east - with swimming,
kayaking, diving, fishing, surfboarding and all types of ocean water
sports. Their back door to the west has Barnegat Bay with crabbing,
windsurfing, waterskiing, power and sailboating along with other

The beach is accessible from any street end. A toddler beach is
located on the bay at Taylor Avenue, a clear spot on the inland
waterway optimal for family bathing. A part-time lifeguard is on
duty, and the badge requirement is enforced. Visitors will find
a new recreation park complete with playground (which includes a
handicap swing) and basketball courts. The borough has four beach
wheelchairs, and there is a handicap ramp on the Centre Street oceanfront
deck. Dogs, alcoholic beverages and picnics are prohibited on the
beach although a small sandwich is all right. They have public pavillions
and restrooms. The borough has no public bath houses. Seasonal,
weekly and daily badges are available. Badges for people over 65

Lifeguards patrol all of the township's beaches from 10 a.m. to
5 p.m. daily from mid June through Labor Day. The southern beaches
are wider and smoother, while the northern beaches are narrow. The
Bayside beache is located in Brant Beach at BayView Park (68th Street)
and in Beach Haven Terrace.
BayView Park is located across from the Township's Municipal Buildings
and has bathroom and parking facilities. Beach badges are required
for all persons age 12 thru 64 years on Long Beach Township beaches
from Mid-June through Labor Day. Daily and weekly badges may be

Belmar currently maintains a full mile of the widest, cleanest beaches
along the New Jersey Coast. All of the community's swimming and
surfing beaches are in full operation, and provide a vast variety
of seaside recreational activities.
Season badges are on sale for $40.00, senior citizen season badges
at $10.00 and daily passes are $5.50. Children 14 and under are

The "Nation's Oldest Seashore Resort," has been welcoming
visitors for more than a century. With over 600 authentically restored
and preserved Victorian structures, the city is a National Historic
Landmark site and has achieved national recognition as one of the
best Bed & Breakfast Inn resorts in the country. Fishing, sight
seeing, whale watching, kite flying, and sailing are a few of the
outdoor activities available on a Cape May vacation. Beach tags
are currently available for purchase, in person, at the City Hall
Information Desk, located at 643 Washington Street, from 8:30AM

Situated at the southern-most tip of the Jersey Cape, Cape May Point
is well known for its many natural attractions, serene beaches and
historic sites. Founded in 1875, Cape May Point was originally called
Ocean Grove. The Cape May Lighthouse, Cape May Bird Observatory,
Higbee Wildlife Management Area and Lily Lake are in the Cape May

Williams Street to 86th Street Costs: Seasonal, weekly and daily
badges are available. Children under 12 are free. Badges are on
sale at Borough Hall, 76th Street and Long Beach Boulevard. During
the season badges also will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
at the recreation center on Salem Avenue. Playground equipment,
volleyball, baseball, boccie and a paved fitness track are available,
as are restrooms which include an outdoor shower. Handicap ramp
access to the beach is at Mercer Avenue and 80th Street; there is
one handicap parking space at each street end there. Bay bathing
suitable for small children can be found at 77th Street in the borough.
Shopping and places to eat are concentrated along Long Beach Boulevard.
